SkinID

SkinID

SkinID comes from a huge conglomerate known as Neutrogena. It has a long history, and they claim to be the first and only treatment to specialize their treatment to you. They even provide a test online, and they ask valid questions such as which products you've used before and if your skin is oily, dry, sensitive, etc. They have also obviously paid for celebrity endorsements, which draw many in.

But they don't actually provide original formulas. Every formula has virtually the same formula, none of them being individualized to any consumer. It seems that all of them have the same active ingredients with varying preservatives, and even those with extremely sensitive skin have reportedly been given benzoyl peroxide based products.

With all of the deceit that is obviously found in connection with SkinID, we would not recommend it. All of the formulas are those you could find in any product such as Proactiv, and they don't really work for many individuals. They dry out and irritate the skin, and they automatically sign you up for a shipment plan that comes every month. There have also been reports of users being unable to cancel the plan.

As an old ProActiv user I wanted to try something that would work quicker and better for me. SkinId claimed to do that but It was not all what I expected. I used it for about a week or so and as dry enough as my face already is it literally left it worse. My skin would peel! I can recall I answered the darn questions correctly. I only get oily on the t-zone. No but this product seriously left me dissapointed :( I will not recommend it at all and I definately would never use it again. I immediately discontinued my membership and didn\\\'t even bother to return the thing because I\\\'d rather spend that time finding a REAL working long lasting solution.

I tried to keep in mind the whole "give it 8-12 weeks, since acne can form deep within the skin" thing in mind. After 15 weeks, my skin is far worse. My acne is larger, more severe, more painful, and deeper in the skin. My face is constantly peeling, even after using lots of moisturizer. Plus, (it might me pyschological) it seems that my scars have become more noticeable. I have heard some people swear by SkinID, so maybe its just not for me. Oh, and don't expect "personal solutions" from doctors. If you have a questions, you submit it online, and if you're lucky, they'll post a standard response. Many of the submitted questions have the same exact answer.

I used for prosctiv for 6 yrs and stopped seeing results. I decided to use skin ID. I saw some results at first but didn't feel the product was right for me. Excess drying and my skin took forever to heal when I did get a pimple.
