Zeno is a handheld, electronic medical device that heats the skin up to 120 degrees for 2?minutes. This has been reported to kill bacteria and cause the influx of heat-shock proteins. These proteins help kill the bacteria and reduce the inflammation in the pore. The heat is controlled by replaceable tips which must be regularly replaced. The device itself is pretty expensive, ranging from $150-$200.
However, Zeno does not work at all for blackheads, whiteheads, scars, nodular acne, and surface blemishes. Some report that it only works on small blemishes. The heat from the device can be felt, and may even be uncomfortable for some people. Those with sensitive skin may experience a burning sensation. It does not burn the skin, but can leave a red mark for a while. Check our list below for the 5 Best Acne Treatments!

I have the Zeno Mini, and I've noticed that it keeps my pimples from going to the whitehead phase. My pimples almost always start out as a sort of under-the-skin lump, and they turn into whiteheads. The Zeno stops this. By day 2 after about 2 treatments, the pimple is gone. It does leave a red dot, but that disappears after about 30 minutes. For me it works.

With repeated treatments the Zeno keeps acne clear. One of the best things about it is how quickly it works. Much of my acne clears after the first treatment. The redness goes away after about 15 minutes and the elevated skins settles down. I will regularly use it as part of my acne control.
