Homemade Acne Treatment

Especially in times of financial hardship, more and more people are turning to homemade options, cheaper options, ultimately even free options if we can find them, and who can really blame us? Unless you are swimming in money, and even if you are, it's not a bad idea to save money where you can. This being said, many are finding that a homemade acne treatment is actually a viable option. After all, why not use things you already have in your kitchen cupboards, why spend hundreds of dollars ultimately speaking on products that you are just testing out when you could potentially get something better for much less?

There are plenty of homemade acne treatments out there. Some are quite ludicrous, and some make more sense. But below you can find a few of the cheapest and most effective options that I have found in terms of a good homemade acne treatment.

  1. Salt-salt scrubs are extremely popular, and frankly think about it. How much do you really pay for a sizable jar of salt? Some prefer to use the bigger sea salt crystals. But many find regular table salt to be just as effective. Essentially speaking, salt works, because it exfoliates away dead skin cells that may be clogging the pores while also helping you to control excess oil production and even disinfecting the skin to some degree.
  2. Baking Soda-Baking soda seems so innocuous sometimes. You use it in just about every baking recipe. But why would you use it as a homemade acne treatment? Because it is easy and it works. You only have to mix baking soda with water to get the right mask. You apply a small amount of this mixture to your face and let it dry. It effectively speaking pulls bacteria out while tightening up your pores for a clean and refreshed appearance.
  3. Lemons-Rich in vitamins and minerals, lemons are also full of powerful antioxidants. Lemon juice, and by this It makes one of the most effective home acne treatments. I mean lemon juice not lemonade, will work as an astringent, antibacterial, antifungal, and for various other purposes. It generally has a pleasant aroma and works effectively speaking to even give your skin a certain glow.
  4. Pineapple-pineapple is actually extremely effective in both supplementing your skin with needed vitamins and minerals, killing off bacteria, and improving the general condition of the skin with powerful antioxidants. It spreads easily across the face and also washes off easily. The only problem is that sometimes it can dry out the skin. So it's important to use a good moisturizer with this option
  5. Drink more water-Finally, the cheapest and most basic homemade acne treatment is to drink more water. Water is essential to life, and when you drink more water, you are flushing out your body and skin. So by drinking more water, even the basic 8 cups per day, you will be able to eliminate much of your acne and in general improve the general condition of your skin.
